Clavichord for sale

Fretted clavichord built in William Post Ross's Boston workshop in 1969.
Most of the workmanship was probably by Joel van Lennup and Lynette
Tsiang, who worked for Ross at that time.

The case is made of cherry. The instrument has a unique "bent" soundboard,
based on an Italian clavichord of the end of the 16th or early 17th century,
in the collection of the Boston Museum of Fine Arts.

Compass: BB to d'''. A is pitched to about 390Hz. The instrument is quite stable
and is in good playing condition with no external marks. There is a crack
in an internal area; however the soundboard has no cracks and is in
good condition.

Sample of sound (owner playing, please forgive)
